I stepped into my first studio at 6 – it was a local dojo in my desert hometown and I was introduced to my first disciplinary exercise, Taekwon-Do. More than dedicating my life to mastering a physical art form, I fell in love with the community that the practice gave me. Fast forward to taking my first class here at Ekam, I was flooded with nostalgia practicing at a studio where everyone knew each other, encouraged each other and treated each member as family. I am so happy to be a part of the Ekam team – my home away from home.
