Huma discovered yoga during a period of chronic stress while running a national marketing agency as its founder and CEO. At the time, she was experiencing severe jaw pain, and yoga quickly became a source of healing and relief. After feeling its benefits, she made it her mission to share the practice with others.

Huma is an RYT-500 certified yoga teacher with over 1,800 hours of teaching experience. Her teaching blends yoga therapy, athletics and the arts, creating classes that support the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of her students.

She completed the Yoga Therapy Program at Loyola Marymount University, the first and only university-accredited program of its kind in the United States. This four-year training integrates Western medicine with traditional yoga principles and prepared her to earn certification from the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT).

Huma is also certified through the Chopra Center as a teacher of Deepak Chopra’s Primordial Sound Meditation, a mantra-based meditation rooted in ancient Vedic tradition.

As a former competitive swimmer, Huma brings athletic discipline, therapeutic insight and artistic creativity to her classes. Her ongoing studies in yoga therapy, safe alignment and anatomy allow her to teach with clarity, compassion and deep knowledge.

Huma holds a double major in Economics and Fine Arts from Bryn Mawr College, an Executive MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management, and a Fine Arts degree from the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
