FAQ’s

What is a 200-Hour Pilates Teacher Training?

A 200-hour Pilates teacher training is a comprehensive certification program that blends classical Pilates principles with a modern, athletic approach. During the training, you’ll learn how to teach Pilates confidently while gaining a strong foundation in anatomy, alignment, sequencing and cueing. The program prepares you for a professional teaching career, and it also supports anyone who wants to deepen their personal practice.

Who can enroll in a 200-Hour Pilates Teacher Training?

Anyone with a passion for Pilates and movement can enroll—no teaching experience needed. This program is a great fit for beginners who want to learn the foundations, dedicated practitioners looking to deepen their understanding, and anyone considering a new career in fitness. It’s designed to support you at your current level and help you grow with confidence.

What will I learn during the training?

During the training, you’ll explore the full range of Pilates education, from classical foundations to modern athletic movement. You’ll dive deeply into Reformer Pilates and study anatomy, alignment, sequencing and clear, effective cueing. Throughout the program, you’ll also practice teaching in real time so you can build confidence and skill. Plus, you’ll have the option to join our Mat Pilates course for an even stronger foundation.

You’ll also learn how to build strength and endurance into your classes, design effective sequences and communicate clearly with clients. Finally, we’ll guide you through career development with workshops in marketing, brand identity and studio ownership so you feel prepared for real-world growth.

How long does a 200-hour training program take to complete?

The program runs from February 28 to April 26, 2026, and meets every Saturday and Sunday from 1:30–7:30pm. It’s a two-month immersive journey that balances intensive, hands-on education with plenty of time to absorb the material, practice your skills and grow throughout the training. The schedule also includes a short break for Easter and an optional Mat course on April 11.

Is the training physically demanding?

Yes, the training includes a strong physical component because you’ll be actively practicing and teaching Reformer Pilates. It’s meant to build strength, endurance and body awareness, but it’s also fully adaptable for all levels. Our educators offer modifications, guidance and ongoing support so you can progress safely and confidently at your own pace.

What certification will I receive upon completion?

When you finish the program, you’ll receive a 200-Hour Comprehensive Pilates Teacher Training Certificate from Ekam Yoga & Pilates. This certification prepares you to teach confidently in professional studio settings around the world.

Can I teach Pilates after completing the training?

Yes! Once you earn your 200-Hour Comprehensive Pilates Teacher Training certification, you’ll be qualified to teach at most studios. Graduates often teach in studios, gyms and wellness centers, and many also launch their own classes or private training programs. The training includes marketing and business workshops as well, so you’ll feel confident taking the next step in your teaching career.

Are there any prerequisites for enrollment?

There are no strict prerequisites. All you need is a genuine interest in Pilates and a desire to learn. Some experience with Reformer or Mat Pilates can be helpful, but it’s not required. The program is designed to support all levels, from committed students to aspiring instructors.

What is the cost of the 200-hour Pilates Teacher Training?

The full investment for the training is $3,999.

You can also take advantage of our Early Bird offer and save $999. When you place a $500 deposit by November 30, 2025, your total becomes $3,000.

Payment plans are available for the remaining balance, with flexible monthly or biweekly options. All payments must be completed by the start of training on February 28, 2026.

Can I continue working while doing the training?

Yes, the program is designed to fit into your schedule! Training takes place on weekends only (Saturdays & Sundays, 1:30–7:30pm). This allows you to continue working or managing other commitments while completing your certification.

What should I bring to the training?

Bring comfortable Pilates attire, grip socks, and a notebook or laptop for notes. You’ll also want to have water and light snacks to stay energized during sessions. All course materials and manuals will be provided.

Is there an assessment or final exam?

Yes. The program concludes with both a written exam and a practical teaching assessment, where you’ll lead a 45-minute Reformer Pilates class demonstrating your understanding of techniques, cueing, and class structure.

Are there additional hours outside of the weekend training dates?

Yes! To receive your certification, you’ll need to complete 50 observation hours and 50 teaching hours outside of the scheduled weekend sessions. These hours allow you to apply what you’ve learned in real class settings, gain hands-on experience, and build the confidence to lead effectively before graduation.

If I am absent how do I make up?

All missed sessions must be made up in order to receive your certification. The lead instructor will guide you on how to complete any missed material through additional practice, observation, or private sessions. If a private makeup session is required, you’ll be responsible for covering the instructor’s hourly rate.
